A Hair Dye Gone Wrong! /Color Specialist Davie, Fl

When a trip to the salon has you leaving in tears, its pretty understandable to be a little traumatized. But keep in mind, not all hairdressers are created equal. So, when you find one that keeps you happy and your hair looking flawless, make sure you hold on for dear life because it can get ugly out there!

I had the great pleasure of meeting this amazing client the other day and I’m so happy that I got to save her from her hair trauma! She experienced a “hair dye gone wrong” and was scared to go to someone else. But with a little help from one of my clients, she came and paid me a visit. Prior to coming to me the last hair visit ended with bleached blonde, chunky broken highlights…So you can imagine how this client felt.

One of the things I love about hair is when I get to bring your hair back to life. Seeing the transformation of not only the clients hair but also what it can do to a woman’s self esteem is an unbeatable feeling!

We gave Lina a partial highlight lowlight and toned her highlights to a nice caramel brown. This is a perfect color for this holiday season! Right now, darker highlights, are one of the Best Hair Colors for Fall 2014. It’s a great low maintenance look for any brunette.  Check out this Before & After!

Have you had a “hair dye gone wrong”? We want to hear about it! How did it happen and what did you have to do to get it fixed?!

A Color Transformation! South Florida Colorist

Meet my new client, Alejandra. Before coming to me, Alejandra had experienced some hair trauma and was desperate for a fix! She showed me an inspiration photo of Jennifer Lopez’ hair. Now, we all know how gorgeous J.Lo’s color is! That beautiful beige-y brown hair ❤ Love!

As a colorist in the industry for over 12 years, I’ve learned that less is more. Because she had been bleached and then dyed black as a quick fix, we had to be careful her ends would be able to withstand the bleach. We decided to keep it simple so we did a heavy partial highlight and applied a toner to add shine and get rid of unwanted red tones. This gave us enough lightness and her hair still felt healthy!

When lightening black hair, it is always best to do it over 2-3 appointments, making sure you are moisturizing daily. After each visit your hair will become lighter and lighter. Baby Steps Ladies!! This saves the integrity of the hair and you are less likely to experience any breakage. It’s definitely worth the wait! So what was the end result? A beautiful beige caramel color!
